Mix 'n' match your rostering
Fixed or Rolling rotas
Rolling rotas are shift patterns, fixed for a certain number of days, that repeat
continuously.
Within Rotagen, you can define fixed shift patterns of any length and allocate
staff to specific starting positions in the pattern.
For each rostering period, these patterns are automatically repeated and staff allocated
appropriately.
Why automate a fixed
or rolling rota?
Flexible, business-driven rotas
When you need to roster your staff flexibly, to manage the peaks and troughs of
your business requirements, you can build up 'blocks' of shift patterns and staffing
levels.
Rotagen stores your shift pattern 'blocks' in a library, so they are always
available for you to include in your work plan whenever necessary.
For each rostering period, you just need to 'drag and drop' the appropriate number
of shift pattern 'blocks' into your plan to meet your requirements.
Self-rostering
Self-rostering means agreeing the staffing levels and skill mix required at any
time in the day, then giving staff the ability to schedule their working day collectively
to meet these requirements.
Where your aim is to give your staff more flexibility to plan their work around
other commitments and responsibilities, whilst still fulfilling the needs of the
business, Rotagen's self-rostering module will help you.
Mix 'n' match
Rotagen's unique rota generator enables you to adopt one or more of these
rostering options, combine them together and create one inclusive rota.
For example, you can create a rolling rota for your core staffing requirements and
incorporate a flexible rota where you need additional staffing at peak times.
