Staff and teams
Staff can be shared
You can roster your staff to work in different locations at different times. This
is especially cost-effective when you can share expensive 'expert' staff between
different locations. You may need special or specific expertise but not in a full-time
position at every place. For example trainers, mentors and senior staff may fall
into this category.
Shift patterns and work roles
Not only can your staff be shared across locations but, for multi-skilled employees,
their work roles and shift patterns can also change in different locations. For
example, an employee could spend the morning as a kitchen assistant in one location
and early evening as a cleaner in another.
Bonding and binding with Teams
Your staff can be allocated to teams. Each location can have one or more 'teams'
to fill certain shifts. If you have a set of people who bond and work well together,
you can group them as a team to ensure that they'll always work together. Teams
can also be skill-based rather than people-based, so you can bind together the appropriate
skills for your shifts. You can even make your teams a mixture of both - some specific
people together with some specific skills.
